Multi-Hazard Rated Protected Secondary Containment Aboveground Tank Features:

1) 4 hour fire exposure
2) Hose stream resistant
3) Projectile penetration tested
4) Heavy vehicle impact tested

This product has been evaluated for re-use after fire or heavy vehicle impact. This tank complies with the requirements of SwRI Test Procedure 95-03, 93-01, UFC 79-7, UL-2085, Interstitial Communication Test, and is a recognized listed product by Southwest Research Institute, San Antonio, Texas.

“Jacketed Secondary Containment – A steel tank with a nonmetallic external jacket constructed of 200 mil thickness fiberglass and polyester resin. The tank and jacket are constructed separately assuring an unrestricted interstitial space. The FRP jacket not only provides for secondary containment but also acts as the corrosion barrier.”

This tank construction has interstitial monitoring capabilities. These tanks may also be built with or without multiple compartments for multiple fuel storage. Tanks are built to Underwriters Laboratories specification standard UL-58 and UL-1746. These tanks are atmospheric steel tanks intended for storage underground of flammable and combustible liquids. Threaded fittings can be located along the tank top centerline or they can be installed inside containment sumps.
